Fresh and fruity: Our second newsletter is ready!

Just this one clue for the moment: “Choose only one master – Nature”.

Urban farmers? Guerilla gardener? July 26, 2009

Have you ever heard of urban farmers? That is right, you do not have to live out in the country to make your live greener and healthier!

Become a guerilla gardener or produce your own honey, as this example from the Belgian company Cameleon.

Movie recommendation: “How Cuba Survived Peak Oil” June 29, 2009

The weekend at Kasteel Nieuwenhoven has been a true blessing! A place where a lot of ideas sprout and where a lot of amazing people meet.

You will find more about this “gate to inspiration” in our second newsletter that is in the making.

As a first foretaste, we recommend you another video: \”The Power of Community – How Cuba Survived Peak Oil\”.

We are sure it will leave you astonished!

Our next adventure in Belgium! June 16, 2009

As we live in Belgium now, we will explore our “neighbourhood” in the coming months.

Our next adventure will thus bring us to two Belgian organic farms, the eco-village Kasteelnieuwenhoven in Sint-Truiden and the Plukrijp project in Schriek.

Both are involved in permaculture, so we will present you a new aspect of organic farming.

Keep posted!

Back from Spain and preparing our first newsletter! May 22, 2009

Back from Spain, soaked with sun, we are preparing our first newsletter featuring organic wine in the Penèdes and an interview with an Irish organic farmer growing almonds and olives in Alcover.

In the meantime, you can already check out some pictures of the trip here or take a look at “The New Complete Book of Self-Sufficiency”, from the “Father” of self-sufficiency and organic farming, John Seymour.

Amazing book, covering everything from how to milk a cow to how to use solar power, make bricks or drain land!

Our first destination: La Llacuna, Spain. May 3, 2009
